On a night when the skeptics called for darkness and the end of the world a group of African artist who hailed from Nigeria, Zambia and Trinidad and Tobago brought the light back to the world by showcasing their talents at the second AfroExposure Showcase.
This event was organized by PalavaHut.com the online African village. AfroExposure Showcase is the series of three showcases to promote upcoming artists who have made a trend in their communities in the diasporas. This event was held at the Argana Lounge in the Washington DC area and it featured artist such as Melly Rose , Nollege Wizdumb, Jay Cube, Joewy B, Spoon, and Tonestar.
All the artists in their own voice appealed to the crowd and sung with voice of uniqueness which the fabric of the African landscape. There was something for everyone and the general performance was well received.
“We hope to showcase young African artist and provide a platform to launch their careers to a different level” stated Will Roberts the president of PalavaHut.com. He also stated that the AfroExposure experience is incredibly important in retaining a cultural identity and making sure our young people have a positive way of expressing themselves.
