Iman Stirs Up Controversy

 

Supermodel Iman made major headlines last week when she made comments about First Lady Michelle Obama in an interview. 

Every single word that comes out of a celebrities mouth is analyzed every which way.  In Iman’s case, the interview with Parade magazine brought much scrutiny once comments she made about First Lady Michelle Obama became known.  Suddenly Iman was plain crazy for saying what she said.

 What exactly did she say?

“Mrs. Obama is not a great beauty,” Iman says, startling me a bit. “But she is so interesting looking and so bright. That will always take you farther. When you’re a great beauty, it’s always downhill for you. If you’re someone like Mrs. Obama, you just get better with age.”

Diss or compliment? 

From all the headlines it looks like most people took it as a diss.

Haven’t we always heard the saying “brains over beauty?”  Isn’t Iman saying the same thing?  She was by no means calling Michelle Obama ugly, right?

They also say that the older you get, the more honest you are.
